Valentia Island

Valentia Island is located off the South West Coast of Ireland and is hailed as having the earliest evidence of human activity in the South of Ireland dating back to 6000 BC

Valentia itself is accessible by bridge from Portmagee and by car ferry from Renard Point just outside Cahersiveen. Visitors can enjoy a feast of activities including a trip to the world famous Skellig Michael, a well preserved monastic outpost of the early Christian Period which lies 12km off the coast of Valentia

For the Golfing enthusiast, the world famous Waterville Golf Links is located nearby and is a must visit for the serious golfer along with Skellig Bay Golf Club

Fishing and Diving are also popular pastimes around Valentia Island with visibility often at 30m plus....a photographers paradise
